Our story began long before the first HOBO bag.

A Family Rooted in Leather

Founder Toni Ray learned the craft of leatherworking in her mother's 1970s leather shop.

In 1990, after years of working in the leather business, Toni started HOBO with a belief that quality and timeless style never go out of fashion.

The First HOBO Bags

In 1991, Koren Ray and David Brewer joined the journey, creating a collection of natural leather bags from Koren's home in Annapolis, Maryland.

The brand grew from a small family operation into a community of people who share a love of leather, creativity and discovery.
